Big Mistake

This week Emily throws caution to the wind for Sonny...But will their romance go up in smoke?

It's tough enough when your best friend dates your sister. Couple that with the fact that your living (in every sense of the word) hinges on sacred trust and well, let's just say it makes for a perplexing problem  that Jason is finding hard to solve. Complicating matters, Manny is acquitted and Sonny and Jason's deepening estrangement could spell doom for everyone involved.

As the week opens, Jason's doing damage control as Durant hauls Sam in for questioning in the shooting of Manny Ruiz. Sam swears to her fiancé that she didn't do it, but realizes her public display of anger at the trial doesn't  help her case. "Jason wants Manny gone" Burton explains "plain and simple. He has attacked his fiancé 40 times, shot him...that's it. It's over." But obviously Sonny and Jason have to do it the right way. So it's a full plate for Jason now.

Burton continues: "He has already made his feelings known about Sonny and Emily pairing, so when Jason catches the pair in a clinch, he is adamant about Sonny not seeing his sister. He doesn't want her in that kind of life. That's the main thing and Sonny doesn't have great track record with women. Any brother would do that for his sister. There's so much underlying tension between them now, especially if Emily is in the room."

Because Manny is set free, Jason is sure that he is planning his next attack on Corinthos and company. "He's a threat" continues Burton. "Even though he is under house arrest with the ankle monitor on, he's still a threat. Jason wants him dead for Sam, but obviously something's going to go down. Jason's very worried, but Sonny's more worried about Emily at this point. Maybe Jason should go work for Manny," laughs Burton "I wonder if he's hiring?"
