Family Ties

This week, General Hospital's Sam and Jason finally get on the same page with regards to their future. But her lingering jealousy over his relationship with Liz -- combined with a most unexpected job opportunity -- could turn Sam's dreams of having her lover's baby into a nightmare she never anticipated. Throw in Liz's decision to tell Jason the truth about her baby's paternity, and all bets are off!

Oh, Baby:

As the week begins, Jason and Sam agree that the time is right for them to start a family. "I'm still hesitant," admits Burton, speaking in character. "But since I love Sam and she wants to have a kid, we're going to give it a try."

But before he and Sam can get down to business, Jason runs an errand which leads him to discover Liz, who is unconscious in a snow bank following her car accident. Even as he's rushing the pregnant woman to the hospital, Sam opens up to Spinelli about the child she lost and how anxious she is to give Jason a baby.

Liz Vs. Sam:

Upon returning home, Jason and Sam carve out a little time for making love. Unfortunately, this leads to her being late for her first day of work at General Hospital. In explaining her tardiness, Sam blurts out that she and Jason are trying to get pregnant. And who's there to hear this bit of news? Elizabeth, of course!

Upon learning that Jason saved Liz, Carly butts into their business. As Sam listens in, Carly accuses Liz of trying to steal Jason. With so much drama circulating, Liz decides that now just might be the right time to tell Jason that he's the father of her baby. But before she can, Lucky arrives. Her day goes from bad to worse when she has a run in with Manny's look-alike, Mateo, and later is confronted by a jealous Sam! When the two women have a public argument at the hospital and Epiphany backs Liz, Sam decides to literally call it quits. Jason later swears to his girlfriend that he and Liz are only friends, but Sam won't be comforted by anything less than his baby in her belly.

A Deal Breaker:

With Jason's reluctant permission, Sam turns to the Quartermaines for a job. Before long, she's gotten more than she bargained for thanks to an unusual offer from Edward. Better still, she's made an enemy of Tracy! "My radar is definitely up" concludes Burton, again in character, of Sam's newfound coziness with his family. But could the real threat to their happiness come from Liz and her unborn child?
